June Jones of Sydney, Australia, awarded for many years of service to the accordion, including ASA Secretary and other executive positions over many years and major contributions to the NSW ASA branch for many years as well as local activities. Marie Jones of Takapuna, New Zealand, awarded for being the Secretary of the NZAA since 1971, including the 1980 Coupe Mondiale held in New Zealand and supporting generally accordion activities in New Zealand over many years. Jenny Cocurullo of Dargaville, New Zealand, for organizing accordion concerts and activitiesin the Northland region over many years and also promoting the accordion with her work as a journalist and reporter and then as a city council member. |

| Shirunov played an exciting program, must of it from his newly released CD which also enjoyed excellent sales over the weekend. | This time, the hands are a little blurred, as they beat out a sound pattern on the accordion. All part of the interesting and diverse but popular performance. | |

| A contrasting slow work, also from his new CD showed off the diversity of this superb musician. | As I photographed this ending, I thought the accordion was going to land on the floor. Dynamic action - thats for sure, enjoyed by the audience who gave Alexander Shirunov a strong standing ovation. | |
