Auditorium adjudicators, left to right, Erica Knights, Marcel Riethmann Director of the Music Education Centre - largest private music school in New Zealand, also past New Zealand Accordion Solo Champion plus two other past New Zealand Solo Accordion Champions Paula Harris and Adam Thorpe.   First contestant of the days was Christopher Thwaites of Hawera, Taranaki some 500 km south of the competition venue.

Campbell Hill, was the winner of the top South Pacific Solo Accordion Championship class. He was very happy and ready for a party time after those results were announced!!!!!   Alexandra Reekie, 4 years old, was the youngest competitor and got her own TV star spot on the TV filming. Alexandra is the daughter of Lionel and Elena Reekie.
 
NZAA Committee member Megan Jennings in charge of the competitions in the Drama Room this Saturday afternoon.   A group of contestants in the draw room where the classes of contestants gather and are then sent to perform and be adjudicated.
 
Dave and Marilyn Thorpe were running the Draw Room all weekend organising music and competitors to the right venue at the correct time. Great job done.   Members of the North Shore Musicale Accordion Orchestra, Richard Hennes, Robert Winchester and John Petrie.

North Shore Accordion Orchestra conducted by Lionel Reekie won the New Zealand Accordion Orchestra Championships class with a fine performance that got them one of the highest marks of the day.
