Farewell Dinner and Dance

The formal part of the Farewell Dinner and Dance was opened by President John Statham.	Richard She (Australia) was the winner of the South Pacific 12 years and Under Piano Accordion Solo Championship.
Edward Giffney (New Zealand) in a splendid musical tie and jacket was the winner of the South Pacific 15 years and Under Piano Accordion Solo Championships.	Christopher Thwaites (New Zealand) and Theresa Holzmeier (Germany) were the 1st= winners of the South Pacific Open Piano Accordion Championship.
Jiang Yin (China) was the winner of the South Pacific Button Accordion Solo Championship.	Grayson Masefield (New Zealand) was the winner of the top category - the South Pacific Solo Piano Accordion Championship.

The event concluded with dance music provided by the Starlight Duo Maurice Jones and Lionel Reekie plus other musicians
and dancing until about midnight. A great time was had by all.

President John Statham thanked everyone for attending, thanked all those who help behind the scenes to make the
South Pacific Accordion Championships the success it was and hoped to see everyone again in 2008.

A thank you was given to John Statham for his excellent leadership and compering of the event.
